What is postal?
Postal is a complete as well as fully featured mail server designed for websites, web servers and email servers. You can think of Sendgrid, Mailgun, or Postmark, however all of these are open source and ready to operate on your own servers. Postal was created by aTech Media to fulfill its own mail processing needs and then made the decision that it must be released for the community as an open-source project.
What is Mautic?
Mautic is an open source marketing automation program that is used mostly as a self hosted email marketing solution.
A good Email marketing system has two parts:
The sender: This is the technical part (SMTP service). It lets you send emails over the web. Postal (in our case)
The Management Application:Â Where you are able to create and manage your Email Lists, create Marketing Campaigns, evaluate results, deal with your sending servers so forth. (Mautic in our case)
A completely configured email marketing system using Postal as SMTP server and Mautic as the management program with a sending score of 10 / 10. So long as there are no problems on your provider’s side)
